Which cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. Clearly and without unnecessary jargon.
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your browser when you visit it. They are used to recognize you between visits, keep login sessions active, and remember preferences such as language.
Not all cookies are the same. There are two main families:
Cookies on the Oralsnap website are divided into four categories, in line with the CookieYes consent banner you see at first visit. You can change your choice at any time from the banner footer link "Cookie settings".
Required for the site to work and to remember your cookie preference. Always active, exempt from consent under Italian Garante Provision no. 231/2021.
Help embedded YouTube videos work better (player interface, history of clicked results). Set only after your consent.
Used by YouTube to count video views and understand interactions with embedded players. Set only after your consent.
Used by YouTube for fraud prevention, security during login, and feature rollout management. Set only after your consent.
Since the cookies above are all from YouTube (because of embedded videos) and our own cookieyes-consent, we want to be explicit about which common tracking technologies are NOT present on our site, set by us or anyone else:
We don't run any web analytics of our own. We don't know how many visitors come to this site, where they click, or how long they stay. We rely on App Store / Google Play conversion metrics and direct customer feedback instead.
When you visit Oralsnap for the first time, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the page. It is powered by CookieYes, a GDPR-compliant Consent Management Platform that we use to comply with Italian Garante Provision no. 231/2021 (Provvedimento del 10 giugno 2021).
You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the small floating icon at the bottom-left of the screen (the CookieYes badge), which re-opens the banner. You can also delete the cookieyes-consent cookie from your browser settings, which will trigger the banner again on next visit.
Under Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Italian Garante Provision of June 10, 2021, prior consent is required for any cookie that is not strictly necessary to deliver a service explicitly requested by the user. The Necessary category on this site is exempt from consent; all other categories (Functional, Analytics, Advertisement) are activated only after your explicit, granular consent.
Besides using the CookieYes banner, you can block or delete cookies directly from your browser settings — including the Necessary ones. Please note that blocking cookieyes-consent will cause the banner to reappear at every visit, and blocking YouTube cookies will prevent embedded videos from working.
Each browser has its own procedure. Here are the official guides:
Alternatively, you can browse the site in incognito / private mode: the browser will automatically delete all cookies at the end of the session.
The mobile application Oralsnap (iOS and Android) does not use cookies in the strict sense, because it is not a browser. To maintain the login session, it uses authentication tokens (JWT) instead, stored in the native secure storage of your device (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).
These tokens:
